Irish Lamb Stew

To be honest, I don't know what makes this an Irish Lamb Stew. The ingredients are almost the same as I would find in an ordinary stew.  But I'm using the left over meat from our Moroccan Spiced Lamb we had for Christmas.  So, there are a number of flavers all coming together in this case.

I think it tastes good.

Also, since the meat was already cooked I skipped the part where you coat the meat in fluor and fry on the stove.

In addition to thi,s I used a slow cooker.

Deep Frying

In the past I bought a Fry Daddy for frying fries.  But now I decided to up the game and make fried chicken.  I think what brought this about was all the wonderful fried chicken we had in Seoul.  It was great!
So I bought a Faberware 4L unit.  I'll probably never use the little baskets.

Here's a photo of the unit:
Honestly, it's good to eat freshly fried french fries again. I've used it to make fried chicken and also chicken tenders.

Christmas dinner

Well, we had a very nice Christmas Dinner, however short, since I'm working nights for a while.  I bought a leg of lamb (why don't we say "I bought a lamb's leg?") and found a nice recipe online.  Here it is: "Moroccan-Spiced Leg of Lamb with Herb Butter"

The recipe calls for the grill to be used, but I just cooked it in the oven and it tasted great. However, I think the grill would have beenout of this world.

Also, I didn't cook it rare.  I cooked it medium well.  Other than that, I followed the recipe pretty closely. Very, very good.

So, the full menu for Christmas dinner was:
- Moroccan-Spiced Leg of Lamb with Herb Butter
- French's recipe for green bean casserole
- roasted and salted small red potatoes
- Pepperidge Farm Dressing

Pappy's Hickory Smoked BBQ - Gas Station Phenom.

Yeah, it looks like if you want good food...you go to....the gas station. As bizarre as that sounds, it's sort of true.

Pappy's BBQ is a good example of that. Prices are reasonable and the taste is great. Even Yelp reviewers like it!

I'll have to try the chicken on a stick.  Sounds yummy!
